Brightspace is Coming!

A new Learning Management System (LMS) is coming to Lehman College. Beginning in the summer of 2025, all Lehman College courses will be taught on Brightspace, replacing Blackboard. All CUNY campuses are making the switch, several already have. 

We want to make sure you know:

• CUNY Central is migrating 525,000 courses across CUNY – approximately the last four years of course data
• The migration consists of course content only – not student data
• Faculty can manually import/export courses on their own
  • See the “Blackboard to Brightspace” manual to guide you
• A “Working With Migrated Courses” guide is also available

Master Brightspace: Sign Up for Training

Take three easy steps to become a Brightspace Master!

1. Start with CUNY Live training
2. Continue with the hands-on sessions from Lehman IT (schedule coming)
3. Benefit from individual course design consultations with the Center for Teaching and Learning (registration coming)

You can also enhance your experience with peer support from the Lehman’s Faculty Mentors/Brightspace Ambassadors and make use of the Brightspace Guided Training Program.
