Welcome to the CUNY Mexican Studies Institute, housed at Lehman College. Since our foundation in 2012, the institute has played an essential role in amplifying the presence of Mexico and the Mexican community in New York City. We’ve accomplished this through our many initiatives, all of which are designed to fulfill our mission and elevate the face of Mexico in the United States. Our institute is comprised of faculty, students, staff, and affiliated community-based organizations working on education, research, culture, arts, and empowerment. From the Director, José Higuera-López, PhD.
