In fall 2021, the Department of Mathematics introduced a new minor and a professional certificate in Actuarial Science. Details about the requirements for the minor and certificate can be accessed here and here, respectively. As part of this initiative, the department has been building connections with companies to support student internships and career opportunities in the actuarial field.
This fall, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) will visit our campus to discuss careers in actuarial science. The session will feature a presentation by BHSI Lehman adjunct faculty member and BHSI Actuarial Assistant Prof. Christopher Stanley.
Light refreshments will be provided.
