In classical music, composers such as Shubert, Handel, Tchaikovsky, and Britten’s sexuality are the most studied. A queer orientation manifests in studies that consider musical practice itself as an extension of sensual/sexual practices and dynamics of power that forge non-normative subjects or erotic relations.
