Tom-Hattori

Degrees: B.A., Sarah Lawrence College; M.A.L.D., Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University; Ph.D., Yale University.

Areas of Scholarship: Critical international relations theory; international political economy of development aid.

Professor Tom Hattori came to the United States as a college student from Japan. He worked for the United Nations Development Program in Aden (Yemen) and its headquarters in New York before starting his academic career. He regularly teaches POL 240 (international politics), POL 241 (globalization), POL 343 (International and Regional Organizations), and POL 366 (Global Political Economy). His areas of expertise include critical international relations theory and international political economy of development aid.
