Biography

Edwin Toribio, Senior Academic Advisor, holds a B.A. in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from Lehman College and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at Baruch College. He brings a wealth of experience in education, having worked as a tutor, teaching assistant, research assistant, and supplemental instructor. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Edwin’s own journey as an immigrant shapes his deep commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds. As Senior Academic Advisor, he works closely with students, guiding them through their academic journeys, with a special focus on onboarding multilingual students. Edwin also oversees onboarding communications within the department, ensuring that students feel supported from the very start of their college experience.

Outside of work, Edwin enjoys fixing and assembling furniture, and is known for his collection of funky socks. His advice to his younger self? "Do not be afraid to be yourself."
