Biography

Sarah Paruolo came to Lehman College in 2024 after more than a decade at New York City College of Technology (City Tech), where she held various positions in Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Enrollment Management, as well as taught in the English Department and the Women's and Gender Studies minor. She spent several years there working in First Year Programs, managing the Peer Mentor Program, working with faculty in Learning Communities, and creating the first-year workshop, City Tech 101. Most recently, she was the founding Director of the Student Success Center. Sarah completed her B.A. in English at Bates College. She later went on to Stony Brook University where she earned an M.A. in Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies, a Graduate Certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies, and is ABD for a Ph.D. in Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies.
