Mission

The mission of the Office of Budget and Planning (OB&P) is to lead and manage Lehman College’s financial planning and budgeting processes, including strategic planning, financial modeling, and long-term forecasting. OB&P supports the College’s mission of education, research, and public service by promoting fiscal sustainability, informed decision-making, and full compliance with College, University, and State regulations.

Goals

 

  • To provide the campus community with high-quality, objective, accurate, and timely financial information and analysis in support of the college's budgeting process, informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • To provide institutional support by preparing, implementing, and monitoring the College's multi-year Financial Plan, and sharing reports with appropriate stakeholders.
  • To maintain our partnership with various units within the University for the effective administration of the College’s position management process. This involves establishing, adding, changing and maintaining organizational designations within the university structure.
  • To continue leveraging cutting-edge technology to automate budgetary information, enhance business processes and thereby increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the department. This initiative aims to promote accountability and transparency of financial resources.
