Victoria Sanford, Professor

Dr. Sanford received the USC Dornsife Center for Advanced Genocide Research 2024-2025 Center Senior Research Fellowship which she will take during year sabbatical in spring 2025.

Eleanore Wurtzel, Professor

In June 2023, Dr. Eleanore Wurtzel received the Trevor Goodin award from the International Carotenoid Society in Toyama, Japan. It was the first time the award was given to an American and a woman. More information can be found here.

Renato Ghini Bettiol, Associate Professor

Dr. Bettiol was one of the recipients of the 2023 Feliks Gross award.

Eugene Chudnovsky, Distinguished Professor

In October 2023, Distinguished Professor Eugene Chudnovsky was awarded The American Physical Society's 2024 Andrei Sakharov Prize for his “decades of leadership of prominent campaigns on behalf of oppressed scientists, including chairmanship of the APS and New York Academy of Sciences human rights committees and co-chairing of the Committee of Concerned Scientists." The biennial Prize recognizes outstanding leadership and achievements of scientists in upholding human rights. More information can be found here.
