Philosophy, Psychology, Astronomy.
What made you become a tutor?
The only thing I have been sure about was how to explain complex information. So, this was the perfect way to do it.
What is your favorite thing about being a tutor?
Seeing your student as they start to learn the information. You see how proud they are, and that makes me proud.
What is the most difficult part of being a tutor?
Watching your student beat themselves up over not learning a particular piece of information.
Something you want others to know about you:
I’m very kind and I will go above and beyond to help a student. Plus, I’m funny.

What is your favorite thing about being a tutor?
Seeing students overcome challenges through tutoring.
What is the most difficult part of being a tutor?
Not being able to get students to understand that success will include some amount of discipline and commitment.
Something you want others to know about you:
I am trying to transition to a vegetarian diet.

What made you become a tutor?
I wanted the opportunity to work with multilingual students.
What is your favorite thing about being a tutor?
My favorite thing is meeting people from all over the city and the world.
What is the most difficult part of being a tutor?
Sometimes the time constraints of tutoring sessions can be difficult.
Something you want others to know about you:
I love languages! I speak Spanish and know a tiny bit of French and Portuguese. I hope to one day start learning Korean.

Music History, Music Theory, Musicianship, Music Performance and Piano.
What made you become a tutor?
I've always had a passion for helping others develop and enhance their talents to their highest potential. Before I came to Lehman College, I was a music teachers/tutor at various public schools/privately in my native country Barbados. The Instructioanl Support Services Program has created an avenue for me to continue along this path.
What is your favorite thing about being a tutor?
My favorite thing about tutoring is being able to interact with and meet new people. Helping them to overcome academic obstacles and gain confidence in their abilities as the semester progresses gives me great joy.
What is the most difficult part of being a tutor?
The most difficult part of tutoring for me is to see students not succeed, due to a lack of commitment or preparation.
Something you want others to know about you:
I'm a very humble, patient and approachable person.

Anatomy, Physiology, Biostatistics, and Chemistry.
What made you become a tutor?
I started tutoring during undergrad because my professor recommended it, but after wroking with students, I found it's something I'm really passionate about.
What is your favorite thing about being a tutor?
I love those moments when true learning starts, that "aha!". The brain starts owrking and students start to regain that childlike curiosity. Learning is about embracing your inner child.
What is the most difficult part of being a tutor?
It's always hard seeing students struggle with concepts and not being able to show them a way that they can understand. It can be frustrating, but it's part of the learning process.
Something you want others to know about you:
I'm a gymnast and I love learning new things, talking shop about anything. I also like repairing computers and phones.
