About Us
The Center for School/College Collaboratives (CSCC) at Lehman College aims to strengthen partnerships between the School of Education and Bronx schools, improving educational outcomes for local residents. It supports teacher candidates through mentorship, training, fieldwork, and funding.
CSCC also advances research on effective teacher preparation and retention, focusing on high-need areas like special education and STEM. It promotes residency programs and embedded clinical fieldwork to improve teacher retention and success.

Our History
Since its founding in 1984, the Center for School-College Collaboratives (CSCC) at Lehman College has fostered strong partnerships with local schools in the Bronx and consistently supported teacher candidates in the School of Education. Under the leadership of Dr. Anne Rothstein for 36 years, the CSCC secured more than $300 million in ongoing funding from federal, state, and foundation sources to enhance educational programming and develop a K-16 pipeline benefiting over 100,000 students and educators. In addition to grants awarded directly to the CSCC, collaborative proposals with the School of Education and other Lehman College departments have garnered an additional $100 million in funding. With Dr. Tiffany DeJaynes taking on the role of Director in September 2022, the CSCC remains committed to securing further funding to strengthen its capacity to support K-16 success.
