Walter Garaicoa is the president and owner of WGTV Productions. During his professional life, Mr. Garaicoa is a 5-times Emmy® Award winner and his latest achievements include two Emmy® awards for his work “Chihuly at the Garden” and the documentary “The World is Coming to Hunts Point.”

Mr. Garaicoa has distinguished himself as an audio engineer, cinematographer, editor, producer, and executive producer.

The New York Times calls his production “Inside The Archives,” "a stately display of black-and-white photographs... punctuated by bracing techno-groove music."

Mr. Garaicoa’s travels around the United States designing motion graphics and post-production for: Seagate, Canon USA, Motorola, Weight Watchers, Boston Scientific, Dunkin Donuts Brands, TGI Fridays, The Hartford Insurance, ADM Productions, Great Dane Entertainment, Monroe College and Bronxnet and Jewish Community Relations Council of New York.

Mr. Garaicoa has been the keynote speaker at the BCC Freshmen Convocation and he has also been a speaker at the Alliance for Community Media Conferences and Trade Show. He’s an active member of the National Television Arts & Sciences and the NYC Motion Graphics Organization.

Mr. Garaicoa is an Apple Certified Trainer and an adjunct professor at Lehman College of the City University of New York, where he lectures on non-linear editing, advanced television production and advanced audio production. Mr. Garaicoa lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
