Visitors

Can I attend the Summer Semester if I am not a Lehman College student?
Yes, visiting students are always welcome at Lehman College. For additional information on studying at Lehman College this Summer, call the Office for Special Academic Sessions at 347-577-4001.

I am a student at another college. Do I have to apply to Lehman College in order to take summer courses?
Yes, you will need to attend Lehman College as a visiting student. For complete information, visit the Application and Registration page.

How can I ensure that credits taken at Lehman will transfer to my current school?
Lehman College is fully accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Our regional accreditation allows for many of our courses to be easily transferred to your home institution. However, to avoid any problems you should check with your home institution to ensure that the courses you are registering for are in fact transferrable. The Office for Special Academic Sessions is happy to provide course descriptions for any course that you may be interested in taking.

How many credits may I register for?
During summer sessions, students may earn credit in proportion to the amount of credit they may earn in a regular semester. For example, in one six-week summer session, a student may carry no more than eight credits or two courses, whichever is higher.

How much does Summer Session cost?
Lehman is among the most affordable four-year colleges in the New York Metro Area. For more information visit the Tuition and Fees Web page.

What types of courses are offered?
Each Summer, Lehman offers over 800 courses during both summer sessions. Both undergraduate and graduate course are available across all disciplines.
