Academic Program Review
Program Review is a process that guides the development and continuous improvement of academic programs by examining the quality and effectiveness of existing programs and possibility for new program offerings. Program review concerns the relation of the program to the College’s mission, vision, and goals; its curriculum in relation to desired outcomes; faculty engagement in scholarship, teaching and professional service, including faculty development and pedagogical innovations; the program’s use of assessment for continuous improvement; and, future directions for the program, based on an analysis of the program’s current strengths and weaknesses, external opportunities and obstacles, forecasts for the program’s field, and changes implemented since the last program review.
Program review is comprised of a self-study report; an external peer review, site visit, and report; discussion of the review between the program and Administration; and, development of an action plan to utilize the results of the program review for continuous improvement.
All academic programs, centers and institutes shall conduct formal periodic program reviews.

Payment Processes
Before the visit
- Completed and signed scope of work documents
- Completed and notarized independent contractor agreements (except for the claim for payment)*
After the visit
- Reviewers' invoices
- Completed claim for payment section of the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA)
- Reviewers' receipts
*SUNY- and CUNY-based reviewers would need to be onboarded as Lehman employees (NTAs). The Department should and reviewers should work with H.R. to complete the required forms. The Department would submit a timesheet on their behalf following receipt of their report. The hours and payment rate would provide a payment equal to the honorarium.
Payment processing would begin once the reviewers have submitted their report. The required documents would need to be in place for payments to be processed.
