COIL + Study Abroad

This course combines three weeks of COIL session and two and a half weeks of studying abroad.  Our students are grouped together with our Japanese partner students to work on a research project related to Japanese food culture.  

Participating students will choose a research topic and plan two field trips to do their research together in Japan.  The course work also includes many activities including a sushi making class and the tea ceremony.
