Meagan Serrano

Meagan Serrano is an Assistant Professor of Special Education. She is the coordinator of the Graduate Adolescent (grades 7-12)  Special Education program at Lehman college as well as coordinator of Student Teaching for Special Education. Her research focuses on Co-Teaching between special education and general education teachers, and she is passionate about educating teachers on how to create inclusive classrooms. Her recent work looks at positive co-teaching relationships and what works in these relationships, and how teacher educators can build strong co-teaching partnerships. She was a Special Education teacher for 10 years before joining Lehman and enjoys working with student teachers to develop their practice.
