Caps & Gowns/Portraits

Order Caps & Gowns

Participants in the Commencement Ceremony must wear appropriate academic attire. To preorder your cap and gown for Commencement 2026, Please go to collegegrad.herffjones.com

In the text field, search for “Lehman College.” The results will pop up as bolded black text, The site is active, and you will be able to order caps and gowns for the 2026 ceremony currently. You will receive your cap and gown order mailed home 22 business days after the order.

Programs by school

You will need to pay for all items online directly from the Hereff Jones website. There is no longer a Lehman College Bookstore, and so Hereff Jones will be on campus for limited distribution days. Those dates and times will be posted on this site and communicated to students once confirmed. 

A representative will be on Campus selling Caps and Gowns in the basement level of the Campus Life building on the following days.

Thursday, January 15, 2026 : 11 AM to 2 PM

Wednesday, January 21, 2026 :, 4 PM to 7 PM

College Portraits

Lehman College will continue to partner with Island Photography for our Commencement needs this year! 

Island Photography will be offering formal Cap and Gown Portraits throughout 2025 and 2026 on the days listed below. When Available, Click on the dated links to reserve your spot. These are the only dates that will be offered. No make-up or exceptions. All photography sessions will occur at a campus location to be determined. All students who participate in portrait photos will be included in the digital yearbook available on the commencement website in July 2026.

Throughout the semester, we have provided more than 500 reservation slots for our graduates to take their pictures with Island Photography on our campus. As this service has proven popular among our students, we have added additional dates and reservation options this semester. I am happy to announce that we have added two New Dates.

We are also pleased to announce that we will be offering Commencement Day Photo coverage with Island Photo and will share more information on that in the coming months!
