Along the way, we provide student-focused, holistic advisement with a dedicated point of contact committed to helping you reach your degree.

Undergraduate

Onboarding Advisement

Ensuring a smooth transition for entering and returning students, Onboarding Advisors provide support and guidance to overcome those initial enrollment barriers, taking you from admission through registration for your first semester of classes. For first-year, transfer, re-admit, and second-degree students.

Undergraduate Academic Advisement

Undergraduate Academic Advisors guide and support students from their first semester towards the final push to successfully complete their degree. Advisors are assigned based on declared area of Interest.

Graduation Specialists

Graduation Specialists guide students in their final push to complete their degree. In collaboration with department chairs and faculty advisors, these specialists spend the student’s last year helping to clear the path of any obstacles or hurdles that could delay graduation.

Pre-Health Advising

For students interested in applying to and entering accredited health professional programs, Pre-Health Advisors support you with a number of resources including advising, mock interviews, personal statements, and letters of recommendation.

Pre-Nursing Advising

An early start is essential to plan your path to nursing and our Pre-Nursing Advisors are here to assist in everything you’ll need to prepare for your HESI A2 exam and your application to the Nursing program.

Specialized Programs

Adult Degree Program (ADP)

Students 25 and older who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree are assigned an exclusive Adult Degree Program Advisors to guide you through our innovative, flexible, and customizable path towards your degree. Graduate students can also take advantage of the program, enrolling in our interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Liberal Studies.

Lehman College ACE Program (ACE)

The ACE Program at Lehman College is a comprehensive program designed to help students complete their academic journey to a bachelor’s degree within two years (transfer) or four years (freshmen).

The Percy Ellis Sutton SEEK Program (SEEK)

The SEEK Program promotes the academic, personal, and vocational development of SEEK students at Lehman College by admitting a previously underserved population and providing an array of specialized support and enrichment programs and activities dedicated to encouraging student’s learning, performance, persistence and graduation.

Macaulay Honors College (MHC) and The Lehman Scholars Program (LSP)

The William E. Macaulay Honors College at Lehman chooses students from a highly competitive field of applicants who demonstrate exceptional academic skills, challenging them to continue to achieve while preparing them for top graduate programs as well as leadership positions in both their professions and communities.

Pre-Graduate School Advising

Pre-Graduate School Advising at Lehman College offers a range of services such as assistance with writing a personal statement, obtaining strong letters of recommendation, building a competitive record, and finding and applying to graduate school programs.

Graduate Studies

The Office of Graduate Studies at Lehman College coordinates all Graduate Degree Programs and Advanced Certificates in five Lehman College schools; Arts & Humanities; Business, Education; Health Sciences, Human Services, and Nursing; and Natural and Social Sciences.
