Spring 2024
- 2024 Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) 2024 fellowship. The AWM recognizes Professor Sormani, "For utilizing every opportunity to open pathways to mathematics for more women and students by creating and maintaining online access to advice, mathematical resources, and information about women mathematicians; for organizing the “Inspiring Talks by Mathematicians” lecture series featuring under-represented speakers, and for her dedicated and active contributions to the AWM."
- The The Archimedes Club hosts 2 colloquium talks, one by University of Oklahoma's Dr. Ricardo A. E. Mendes on the topic "Symmetry, matrix groups, and orbit spaces" and the other talk by Smith College's Dr. Geremías Polanco on the topic of " Numbers… and Patterns… and Games… and Greed"
- On May 8th, Prof. Quattromani revived the Pi Mu Epsilon honor society' Tau chapter at Lehman College and held its induction ceremony. The following 10 students were inducted: Michael Weng, Ina Lee, Caleb Adjei, Ana Leonardo, Aly Zuniga, Ubaydul Sami, Zahidul Zahin, Eliana Checo Genao, Yahaira Torres, and Neena Noble
- On May 15th, Mathematics major Ina Lee was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
- On May 28th, 13 Mathematics majors received departmental honors at the department's second annual Honors Ceremony. The ceremony was headlined by Prof. Robert Schneiderman's talk titled "Topology, Jazz, and real life"
Fall 2023
- The Department welcomes Prof. William Quattromani as a Lecturer for the department.
- The Archimedes Club is founded as the official mathematics club of the department by students: Caleb Adjei -President, Michael Weng - Vice-President, Rafael Gonzalez -Treasurer, Samantha Mesa - Secretary, and Rafael Gonzalez Castillo -Faculty Advisor.
- The Archimedes Club and Prof. Bettiol invite University of Pennsylvania's Dr. Ryan Hynd for its Inaugural Colloquium talk titled "The Blaschke-Lebesgue Theorem Revisited"
Spring 2023
- Adjunct Lecturer James "Jimmy" Gaine is awarded the Adjunct of the Year award.
- The Department of Mathematics hosts its first ever Honors Ceremony for students receiving departmental honors and awards. This event was headlined by Prof. Melvyn Nathanson's talk titled "Unsolved problems about 1, 2, and 3"

- Prof Jason Behrstock recognized as a Simons Fellow
- The department partners with Berkshire Hatthaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) to provide opportunities to students pursuing careers in actuarial science.
- Dr. Taboka Prince Chalebgwa will present his Inspiring Talk in Mathematics for Lehman students.
- The Mathematics department opens a new tutoring center called the Mathematics and Statistics Student Success (MS3) Center.

- Dr. Kuei-Nian Lin presents her Inspiring Talk in Mathematics for Lehman students.
Fall 2021
- Former NFL Player and MIT graduate: Dr. John Urschel presents his Inspiring Talk in Mathematics for Lehman students.
- Lehman Math and Physics Graduate, Victoria Antonetti, starts as a funded doctoral student in the Applied Mathematics program at Brown University after completing a bridge to the doctorate program at Princeton.
Spring 2021
- Congratulations to the following graduating Lehman Math Majors: Julinda Pillati Mujo is admitted to Doctoral Physics at the CUNY Graduate Center and Esteban Alcantara is admitted to Ohio State for Doctoral Physics.
- Dr. Fedor Manin gives a Pride Month Inspiring Talk in Mathematics for Lehman students.

- Tanja Haxhoviq and Kevin Johnson promoted to Lecturer after years of service to the department.
