I've joined the New York State Department of Transportation, Region 10, Hauppauge, Long Island, as a Mapping Technologist 1.

Specific accomplishments of which you are most proud
Finishing my degree in a relatively short time and with most of my sanity intact. Being the first person in my family with an advanced degree. The ongoing sense of accomplishment from knowing that the work I do is in furtherance of good causes. I am proud of fulfilling my dream of receiving an American degree in timely manner and getting a full-time employment opportunity with a company.

Geography or GISc activities and/or accomplishments, awards, internships, publications
I worked as an intern for three different agencies of the New York City during my course of study at Lehman. They are Department of City Planning, Mayor office of Environmental Remediation and Department of Transportation. I presented a poster entitled “"Spatial Analysis of Food Delivery Patterns in Manhattan” during the first CUNY GIS Summit that was held on March 3rd at the CUNY School of Law in Long Island City.

Overall assessment of how Lehman’s EEGS Program prepared you for your current life
GIS is expanding in every sector. Lehman’s GIS program is unique in nature and provided all the technical skills that is needed in GIS job market. I am really proud that I am a graduate of Lehman MS-GISc program and working as a full-time employee after my graduation. I really appreciate EEGS Department professors that were very helpful and always ready to help students either during class or outside class to achieve our goals.

What else have you been up to? Details/news of personal life you would like to share (marriage, children, hobbies, interests, etc.)
I love travelling and hiking. Therefore, I wish to visit major cities of U.S. and hike mountains with my family in upcoming years.
