Tutoring Service

The Science Learning Center (SLC), provides drop-in Tutoring during the academic terms and is located in Gillet Hall, room 133. As a tutoring center, we provide mostly in-person group tutoring for various subject areas, listed below, in the sciences. Even though we offer mostly in-person support, we do offer some online support in a few subject areas through the virtual Science Learning Center. Online tutoring (for some courses) is primarily through the Blackboard Collaborate platform. Link or QR-code to the Center is accessible only during the Center’s business hours and/or during workshop offers dates and times. Visit the virtual Science Learning Center. Students who visit the virtual Science Learning Center and Gillet 133 will be assisted on a first-come first-serve basis during the Center’s hours of operations.

The Center is not open for tutoring when classes are not in session and when the College is closed. It may, however, be open for scheduled workshops (see left menu panel). Please visit the Science Learning Center (SLC) - Gillet Hall, room 133, the virtual center, email (issp.slc@lehman.cuny.edu), or call the Center at 718-960-7707 to confirm workshop hours. Workshop offerings may be announced by faculty or by direct email to students via List-Serv. Students should also check their email for workshop offerings.
