Program Overview
The Department of Early Childhood and Childhood Education (ECCE) offers two Masters in Education (M.S.Ed.) programs leading to NYS initial teaching certification. At the program’s end, students will have earned a Masters of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) & can apply for initial New York State teaching certification in either:
- Childhood Education (Grades 1-6)
- Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) with a bilingual extension
Interested candidates must apply to either the Childhood Education (1-6) Program OR Childhood Education (1-6) Program with a bilingual extension.

Apply to the Program
Applications to the M.S.Ed. program are accepted ONCE during the academic year.
APPLICATION DUE: APRIL 15th
START DATE: 1st day of Fall semester (See College Calendar)
