The Bloomberg Open Lab is open to all members of the Lehman community during the regular hours
Open Lab Hours Lab Policies
No reservations are required for open lab spots.
Students gain access on a first come first serve basis. The only exception to the regular schedule (Monday to Saturday 9:30AM-2PM and 3PM-6:30PM) is when the Lab is booked for instruction for School of Business classes. Finance, and Business School, students have priority to Bloomberg terminals during busy periods.
The Lehman College School of Business Bloomberg Lab is open to Lehman students, faculty, and staff. Located on the second floor (226A) of the Leonard Lief Library.
Benefits
The Bloomberg Terminal, or Bloomberg Professional Service, is a software and computer system that combines real-time global financial data and news with trading capabilities.

- Participate in the Bloomberg Trading Challenge
After creating a Bloomberg account:
- Log into a Bloomberg terminal and click on the Bloomberg Icon
- Run the function BCER by entering BCER into the command line and hitting enter.
- Click Sign Up and create a BMC account using your Lehman email.
- If you are taking BMC as part of a class or group, please check the box under the password field.
- Enter the group code provided by your professor if applicable and click OK.
- Check the box to confirm that you have read and agree to the Terms of Service.
- Click Sign Up.
- Check your University email address, as you will be receiving a confirmation with instructions and a link to activate your account. Click on the Activate my account link.
To obtain your Bloomberg BFF, BMC or ESG certifications
After completing your BFF, BMC or ESG certificates,
- Navigate to the "certificates" tab on the Education Platform
- Select “Bloomberg Finance Fundamentals”, "Bloomberg Market Concepts" or "Environmental, Social, Governance"
- Click the verification link
- All verification links start with "portal.bloombergforeducation.com/certificates"
To claim your Credits for Prior Learning
To add two credits for ECO 9999 to your transcript,
- Save the certificates in PDF format labeled with your:
- Full Name
- EmplID, and
- Certificate - BMC, ESG, or BFF
- Example: John Smith with EmplID 11223344 completed all three certificates, thus the documents are titled:
- JohnSmith11223344BMC.pdf,
- JohnSmith11223344ESG.pdf, and
- JohnSmith11223344BFF.pdf
- Example: John Smith with EmplID 11223344 completed all three certificates, thus the documents are titled:
- Email the certificates to college.completioncredit@lehman.cuny.edu.
