Biography
Jennifer Annunziata graduated from Lehman College with a Masters in School Counseling in 2010. Ms. Annunziata began working as an Education Advocate for at risk youth at a social service agency in the Bronx where she was trained by Advocates for Children, Attorneys for at risk students.
After advocating for many students, Ms. Annunziata recognized how many mental health and behavioral issues impact education. As a result, Ms. Annunziata went on to earn an advanced degree in Mental Health Counseling. During her internship for an Advanced Degree in Mental Health Counseling, she was trained by Dr. Elisa Brown of Queens College. Dr. Brown is a leading specialist in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF_CBT). Ms. Annunziata later earned a Capstone in CBT and TF-CBT.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Annunziata spent 12 years as an Advertising Executive managing the relationship with several health care clients at two well-known agencies on Madison Avenue.
Currently Ms. Annunziata is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and the Director of Education and Advocacy at a social service agency in New York where she supports the educational and clinical needs of her clients. Ms. Annunziata is also an Adjunct Professor at Lehman College, teaching in the School Counseling and Mental Health COunseling Graduate Programs.
