Withdrawals & Refunds

Tuition refunds are calculated in accordance with the CUNY Tuition Refund Policy, for those students who officially drop a class or classes during the first three weeks of the semester/session. Fees are not refundable.

Courses dropped on or after the first day of the semester/session can incur a tuition liability charge. This charge will be a certain percentage of the course tuition, depending on the drop date.

Important Reminder

• Courses must be officially dropped by the student prior to the first day of the semester in order to avoid any liability charges listed below. If courses are added on the first day of class, the student is responsible for all tuition and fees. If the student drops a class the tuition refund schedule still applies. Note: Fees are not refundable.
• Failure to submit payment or attend classes is not considered an official drop. It is the students' responsibility to manage their enrollment.

Extenuating Circumstances

Unless extenuating circumstances exist, no application for refunds or reduction in liability for the fall, spring and winter semester will be accepted after the end of the fiscal year. Refund applications (for Summer and Intersession semesters) will be accepted until the beginning of the fall semester.

Late Registration & Financial Liability Policy

• When you enroll in courses during late registration you are responsible for all tuition and fees incurred.
• The courses will not be automatically dropped for non-payment. 
• Unfortunately, the financial liability is permanent, and we won’t be able to consider appeals
