CUNY Inclusive Economy Initiative- Psychology

The CUNY Inclusive Economy Initiative (CIE) is a CUNY-wide initiative that connects students’ academic learning with career preparation, hands-on experiences, and employment opportunities. In the Psychology Department, the CIE team works directly with a cohort of 200 Psychology majors, helping them connect their coursework with internships, graduate study, professional development, and career pathways. The team includes an Integrated Advisor, Iris Wang, who supports students with academic and career planning, and an Industry Employment Specialist, Adeel Paul, who builds employer partnerships and connects students with internships and employment opportunities.

Through the initiative, students gain access to career advising, networking opportunities, employer events, workshops, experiential learning opportunities, and resources designed to help them successfully transition from college to careers in Psychology.
