Jane MacKillop, Dean of the Lehman College School of Continuing and Professional Studies, accepted the Bill McClure Award for professional development at the Continuing Education Association of New York State (CEANY) 2024 Annual Conference.

The award recognizes continuing education teams that focus on innovation, strategic thinking, entrepreneurship, and more, as ways to continually renew education opportunities in a constantly changing environment.

"Professional development of staff is critical to the long-term success of SCPS." said Dean MacKillop. "Continuity on our end ensures we can deliver the support and services our community needs to improve their lives and raise up entire Bronx neighborhoods."

Among the new programs administered by SCPS are a successful Immigrant Nursing program, with 100% of the most recent cohort passing the NCLEX exam; the Bronx Business Tech Incubator; and a program dedicated to helping entrepreneurs get licensed to open cannabis dispensaries.
