Mark Christian, professor of Africana Studies at Lehman College, recently spoke with Lehman Professor Emeritus William Seraile on the Indoor Voices podcast about his scholarship, growing up in the U.K., and some of the pioneering African Americans who made history, from W.E.B. DuBois to Kamala Harris. Christian most recently authored a biography of Booker T. Washington and a historical study of Black experience in Liverpool, England.
