Biography

Andrea Huda is the Manager of Experiential Learning at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at Lehman College, City University of New York. Her work focuses on creating career-connected learning opportunities that bridge the classroom, the workplace, and the broader Bronx community. She leads experiential learning initiatives, paid internship programs, employer and community partnerships, and special programs designed to expand students’ access to meaningful professional experiences and pathways to employment. Her portfolio includes the award-winning Small Business Internship Program, which connects Lehman students with Bronx small businesses, as well as signature partnerships with the New York Yankees that provide students with direct exposure to careers in sports management and media. 

Andrea brings almost 20 years of experience in higher education, continuing education, and workforce and professional program development within CUNY. Prior to joining Lehman College, she spent 15 years at Baruch College, advancing through roles in student advising, program administration, and leadership, ultimately serving as Director of Professional Programs. Across her career, she has developed programs that connect academic learning with professional skill development, employer needs, and emerging workforce trends. Her current work also includes integrating artificial intelligence into career preparation, applied learning, and workforce programming, with an emphasis on helping students and community partners navigate the changing world of work. 

She holds an M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Baruch College and a B.A. in Arts Administration and Music from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. She also holds a certificate in Online Learning and Teaching from Duke University and has experience as an adjunct instructor in the NYC metro area. Andrea has also served on the board of the Continuing Education Association of New York (CEANY), supporting the advancement of continuing education and workforce development across the state. Her work is grounded in a commitment to expanding access to opportunity, strengthening partnerships between higher education and employers, and creating practical pathways that help learners build confidence, skills, and professional experience.
