Biography

Andy Gold

Dr. Gold is a Clinical Professor dedicated to innovation and social impact through experiential education and entrepreneurship. A New York City native and public school product, he has spent 23 years in social entrepreneurship, founding several successful ventures.

For 15 years, Dr. Gold has been an educator, serving as a tenured faculty member at Hillsborough Community College (HCC) and teaching graduate courses at the University of Tampa and University of South Florida. He co-founded HCC's nationally recognized Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program and co-created a Veterans Entrepreneurship Training Program in partnership with Syracuse University’s IVMF.

He co-authored Community Colleges as Incubators of Innovation (2019) and Impact ED (2020), exploring community colleges' role in economic and social progress. Prior to academia, Dr. Gold spent 12 years on Wall Street, where he worked as a technical market strategist and co-founded a hedge fund that raised $52 million in capital.

Dr. Gold lives in White Plains with his wife, Anne, the Executive Director of a historical society, and their two sons, Matt and Greg. He holds an MS in International Business from Manhattanville College and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Northcentral University.
