Biography
Alisa Cooper
Alisa Cooper-Spain is a dedicated higher education professional with nearly 20 years of experience across both public and private institutions. She joined Lehman College in 2015 as a TRIO Counselor Advocate with the Percy Ellis Sutton S.E.E.K. Program, where she played a key role in supporting students throughout their academic journeys.
In 2019, Alisa transitioned to the role of Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) Coordinator for the “Race to the Finish Line” initiative through Graduate NYC. In this capacity, she focused on helping near-completers bridge the graduation gap by expanding access to alternative credit options. She currently serves as the Director of Credit for Prior Learning at Lehman College, continuing to lead efforts that create flexible pathways to degree completion.
Alisa holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Marist University and a master’s degree in Counseling from Mercy University. Her work is driven by a strong commitment to student success and a passion for expanding equitable opportunities in higher education.
