Emma Wixted

I am honored to serve as an Adjunct Professor in Counselor Education at Lehman College, a role I have held since 2018. As a proud Lehman alumna (MSEd, Counselor Education), I am dedicated to advancing advocacy, equity, and leadership within the counseling profession. With over seven years of experience teaching in Lehman's Counselor Education program and 34 years in public education as a tenured school counselor and social studies teacher, I bring a wealth of practical, real-world insights to my students. My diverse background enables me to guide and inspire aspiring counselors to support the academic, social, and career growth of the individuals they serve. It is a privilege to contribute to Lehman College's renowned counselor education program, which prepares highly skilled professionals who make a lasting impact in New York City and beyond, empowering students to achieve their dreams.
