Janet R. Desimone

Dr. Janet R. DeSimone is an Associate Professor in Leadership Studies and Program Coordinator for Lehman College's Organizational Leadership Graduate Program. She has developed and launched multiple leadership degrees and certificate programs at Lehman, including its first leadership doctoral program.

She has been an educator for over 25 years and is committed to fostering ethical, inclusive, and equitable leadership practices in her classes, programs, and profession. Her research interests include leadership traits and dispositions, special education leadership, and effective support models for co-teaching.

Before coming to Lehman, Dr. DeSimone worked as an academic administrator in higher education and a literature and writing teacher.
