AAQEP Public Comment
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement and accountability, the School of Education is inviting public comment regarding its programs and accreditation process. Accreditation serves as an important mechanism for ensuring program quality, candidate success, and alignment with professional standards. Through this call for public comment, we welcome feedback from stakeholders including current students, completers, faculty, P-12 partners, employers, Lehman colleagues, and community members, regarding the effectiveness of our programs and the impact of our graduates. Input received will help inform our ongoing self-study as we prepare for an accreditation review through the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). We encourage all interested parties to share their perspectives and contribute to the advancement of educator preparation excellence.
Call for Third-Party Comment
Submission Deadline: August 31, 2026
On September 29-30, Lehman College will host an initial accreditation visit by the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). In preparation for the visit, the AAQEP Quality Review Team is soliciting public comment about the quality of educator preparation provided by Lehman College, based on AAQEP’s 2025 expectations framework. All comments must be submitted by August 31, 2026, through the AAQEP website.
