AngieWinnerPic_000 Research Interests

My research interests are situated at the intersection of food, health, and race. My work is focused on issues of economic equity and public health with an emphasis on racial justice. Currently I am studying the foodways of women of color and their daily politics of resistance against racial inequities in the food environment of American cities. This research is community-based and involves working with community organizations to fight for racial justice and economic equity.
