Tuition and Financial Aid

Students in fully online degree programs pay the New York State tuition rate and do not need to establish residency. Students taking online courses will pay according to their residency status following the Tuition and Fee Schedule.

File for Financial Aid

Step 1: To be considered for financial aid, you must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is used to apply for all federal financial aid, including the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Loans and work-study. For assistance in filing the FAFSA application, or if you have questions regarding your application status, please contact the Lehman College Financial Aid Office

Step 2: Once you have completed the FAFSA you may then apply for New York State financial aid, such as TAP for NY State residents and full-time students only, in the same session. Make sure you indicate Lehman’s federal code, 007022 on your FAFSA, and the code 1412 on the TAP application.

Step 3: Please respond promptly to any requests for providing required documentation to the Lehman’s Financial Aid Office. You may also view your CUNYfirst to-do list for additional required forms.

Step 4: About two weeks after filing, contact the Lehman’s Financial Aid Office for information about your award status.

Step 5: Pay your tuition. Review the Tuition and Fee Schedule. Your entire tuition must be covered by Financial Aid, a payment plan and/ or a full one-time payment. For more information contact Lehman’s Bursar Office at 718-960-8573. In order to not be dropped from your course, you need to have a payment plan in place.

Note: To help pay for college there is also an interest-free payment plan administered by Nelnet: 1-888-470-6014.
