As CUNY’s first comprehensive learning community program, FYI has served Lehman students for 25 years. Our award-winning, nationally recognized program model has been adopted at other institutions within and outside of CUNY. Freshman Programs’s two-semester model offers first-year students a supportive structure that promotes an interdisciplinary curriculum, faculty collaboration, and peer support to foster a great sense of campus community and to establish a strong foundation that will ensure academic success.
