First Semester
During their first semester, Freshman College students participate in a full-time learning community of five courses (also known as a full-time block): the first English Composition course, an appropriate level math course, the Freshman Seminar, and additional distribution courses from various disciplines.
Students interested in Nursing, PreMed/PreHealth, STEM, Business Administration, Accounting, and Education, can participate in specialized blocks that focus on these fields of study.
All courses in Freshman College learning communities meet General Education Requirements that satisfy graduation requirements. If students have taken any college-credited courses (AP, IB, College Now, etc.), block courses can be changed as needed, and with the assistance of a Freshman College advisor.
