Short Bio
I am originally from Campinas, Brazil, and graduated from the University of São Paulo with a B.Sc. in 2008 and M.Sc. in 2010. I obtained my Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame in 2015, under the supervision of Karsten Grove. From 2015 to 2018, I was a Hans Rademacher Instructor at the University of Pennsylvania, and spent the Summer and Fall of 2016 at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics, in Bonn, Germany. My postdoctoral mentors were Wolfgang Ziller at the University of Pennsylvania, and Werner Ballmann at the Max Planck Institute.
In 2018, I joined The City University of New York (CUNY) as a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Lehman College, and was appointed in 2021 as a doctoral faculty member at the Graduate Center. I am currently a tenure-track Associate Professor. I am honored to be the recipient of an NSF CAREER Award (2022-2027), and a CUNY Feliks Gross Award (2023).
