PREREQUISITES
All applicants must meet the following requirements:

Have a nursing equivalent degree from a country outside of the US

Read at an intermediate-to-advanced level in English

Be an English language learner

Have the authorization to work in the US

Be a full-time resident of New York City

Have the authorization to test for the NCLEX-RN exam or have recently applied to NYSED and CGFNS

Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19

If employed, earn less than $40,000 a year

Qualified candidates must participate in all components of our application process:
Orientation and Online Reading Assessment (2-hour online session; registration required)
Technical Assessment and Required Document Review (1-hour online session; registration required)
Registration with Workforce1 (free online account with NYC Career Center)
In-person Interview and Spoken English Assessment (2-hour appointment at COTC)
Agree to attend all training sessions, including online lessons, tutoring, and in-person sessions
