Welcome to LEHMAN PRIDE, a virtual home for our SAFE ZONE program and our diverse and engaged LGBTQIGNC (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Gender Non-conforming) + community and allied students, staff, and faculty. Here students will find ways to connect with this community and get information they may need.
The Lehman College SAFE ZONE program works to bring together a voluntary network of faculty, staff, and student allies of and advocates for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex and gender nonconforming (LGBTQIGNC) people to improve safety and create a more supportive campus environment for the community.
The goal of our Safe Zone is to make Safe Zone training, workshops, educational opportunities and events that are LGBTQIGNC affirmative activities and resources more effective, more accessible, and impactful—so that the Lehman LGBTQIGNC community may feel safe to learn and grow on our campus.
