2012 Student Projects
STEM Summer Scholar 2012 - Kameka Deans
My Name is Kameka Deans, and I am from the beautiful island of Jamaica, where I worked as a midwife for five years prior to my move to the United States.
I am presently a student at Bronx Community College, and I intend to complete my Bachelor of Science in biochemistry. I am very passionate about mathematics and the sciences.
With that enthusiasm, I eagerly accepted membership into this research program. I have learned so much this summer, and I am indeed grateful for the experience.
