atrium, the 800-pound sculpture, made from dense foam, is bathed in natural light during the day and is highlighted by the interior lights at night. A second installation made from faceted glass offers microscopic views of biological forms referencing scientific disciplines that are studied in the facility. Ned Smyth has been making large-scale public art since the 1970s. |
