was born in 1941 in Surrey, England and received his education at the University of London, Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts. Tyrrell has taught at Kent State University. His bronze gates at P.S. 15 in the Bronx mirror the busts of the Hall of Fame located across the street from the school. Tyrrell's portraits present an updated and diverse sense of great Americans.
