Charles Rudy
who was born in 1904 in Pennsylvania, studied at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts. He was a member of the National Sculpture Society and the American Federation of the Arts. Rudy exhibited at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, The Whitney Museum of American Art, Carnegie Institute, the Art Institute of Chicago, National Academy of Design, and the American Federation of Art Traveling Exhibitions. In 1944 Rudy's work won a prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He participated in the American exhibition at the New York World's Fair in 1939. Rudy taught for many years at the Cooper Union Art School, New York.
