The Honorable Letitia A. James ’82

Attorney General, New York State

Letitia A. JamesLetitia James is the 67th Attorney General for the State of New York. She is the first woman of color to hold statewide office in New York and the first woman to be elected Attorney General.

In 2013, Ms. James was elected Public Advocate for the City of New York and became the first woman of color to hold citywide office. As Public Advocate, Ms. James served as a watchdog over New York City government agencies and as an advocate for the City's most vulnerable communities. She transformed the Public Advocate's office to be a formidable engine for change, handling more than 32,000 constituent complaints and passed more legislation than all previous Public Advocates combined.

Prior to serving as Public Advocate, Ms. James represented the 35th Council District in Brooklyn in the New York City Council for 10 years. Before her election to the City Council, she served as head of the Brooklyn Regional Office of the New York State Attorney General's Office.

Ms. James began her career as a public defender at the Legal Aid Society. A proud Brooklynite, she is a graduate of Lehman College and Howard University School of Law.

Soo KImMr. Kim is the Chairman of Bally’s Corporation and has served as an independent Director since 2016.  He is the founding partner of investment firm Standard General and is the firm’s Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Kim has been investing in special situations strategies since 1997 starting at Bankers Trust Company, as a Principal at Och-Ziff Capital Management, and a Partner at Cyrus Capital Management.  Mr. Kim is currently a Director of Intralot SA (GA:INLOT).  He is a Director of Pursuit (fka Coalition for Queens), Vice Chairman and Director of the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies and Director and former President of the Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association. In addition to this, Mr. Kim is a former member of the Board of Directors of Greektown Superholdings and Media General, Inc. and the Board of Managers of ALST Casino Holdco.
