Student Support Innovation
- Intrusive Advisement - Advisors will meet with students a minimum of three times per semester to ensure students stay on the path to graduation by providing the information and opportunities that students need to succeed.
- Academic Support Services - Academic tutoring, embedded tutors, writing workshops and review sessions for STEM courses will be offered to students. Students will also participate in workshops supporting students' writing skills and attend review sessions for STEM courses.
- Building Cultural Capital - Students generate social capital through links with other student participants, staff and faculty, grow their cultural capital through learning experiences and interactions in these new social networks, and ultimately shift their self-perceptions to realize the wide range of opportunities available to them.
- Guaranteed/dual Enrollment - A frictionless transfer model will be implemented to ensure that STEM students seamlessly transfer from the participating community colleges to Lehman College without loss of credits.
