OPA Advising
OPA Advisors conduct intake meetings with students to identify specific awards and funded programs that align with their interests and for which they are eligible. OPA Advisors also support Lehman College students through different stages of the application process, including recommender selection, general application completion, essay drafting, personal statement story development, and essay review. Students can also engage in mock interview sessions to help prepare them for awards and programs that incorporate an interview component in their application process.
One of the perks of working with the OPA is the ability to connect with award representatives and past winners of different competitive awards and programs. This allows current applicants to obtain deeper insight into specific application processes and facilitates the production of more competitive applications.
