Caribbean Life and Schneps Media has recognized the efforts and achievements of Vice President for Student Affairs Jermaine Wright, who was celebrated with 2025 Caribbean Impact Award.

Wright's career has focused on strengthening communities and boosting student success. As a mentor and advocate, he's extended those efforts far beyond the campus to the Caribbean diaspora of New York City—and in his homeland of Jamaica. Like thousands of Lehman College students served by his division, Wright is a first-generation college student and American, having immigrated from Jamaica with his family as a child.

"I am honored to have been selected as a recipient of the 2025 Caribbean Impact Award by Caribbean Life and Schneps Media," he said. "I view my work as a labor of love, driven by a deep commitment to creating community, fostering belonging, and ensuring student success."

The annual Impact Awards recognizes the achievements and contributions of outstanding individuals of Caribbean background who have created the most impact in their respective career fields—from healthcare, the arts, to advocacy, entrepreneurship, and much more. The celebrated honorees are committed to creating and framing the path for incoming immigrants and inspiring generations to come.

The awards ceremony was held on March 20.
