Lehman College offers courses designed to help students prepare for Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) examinations. The completion of a series of MCP exams leads to certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and to Microsoft's new certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA). MCSEs and MCSAs are qualified to install, maintain and support Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and related BackOffice products. In contrast to commercial training centers, Lehman offer preparatory classes in an academic format more suitable and affordable to those interested in changing careers or entering the work force.

Microsoft certification is an industry-recognized credential preparing students to fill the large number of positions in the information technology field. To learn more about Microsoft's credential and certification programs, students should review the material on the Microsoft World Wide Web site at http://www.microsoft.com/trainingandservices.

All courses are taught by instructors certified by Microsoft in the product area they are teaching. Lehman College does not conduct the certification exams nor are the costs of the exams included in the tuition. Students must make their own arrangements for the exams at a designated testing center. Practice exams may be conducted in class to enable students to gauge their progress.

We encourage all students currently in our program, those planning to attend our summer classes or considering applying to the MCP program in the future to attend our Career Seminar on Thursday, May 23.
